Planters Bank Welcomes Todd Stringer as Senior Vice President and Information Security Officer
Planters Bank is excited to announce Todd Stringer, CISSP, as our new Senior Vice President and Information Security Officer (ISO). With 25 years of experience, Stringer has an established and successful career of leading cybersecurity, risk management, and technology initiatives that strengthen security and drive innovation across the financial industry.
As a Principal Consultant, Stringer guided cybersecurity initiatives for banks and credit unions both across the U.S. and internationally, offering executive-level insights and advising C-suite leadership on technology risk and security strategies. More recently, he has held significant leadership roles in various Mississippi-based financial institutions, ensuring cyber compliance, fostering innovation, and managing enterprise security programs supporting rapid organizational growth.
At Planters Bank, Stringer will oversee the bank's information security program, shaping an enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy, safeguarding sensitive data, and directing technology risk initiatives. He will serve as a strategic advisor to both the executive leadership team and the Board of Directors, ensuring bank compliance with regulatory expectations while maintaining customer trust and operational resilience.
“Todd brings a unique blend of strategic insight, leadership, and comprehensive technical knowledge,” said Zak Kinchen, CRO of Planters Bank. “His understanding of the challenges faced by a rapidly growing financial institution will be invaluable in safeguarding our operations and supporting the Bank’s long-term growth.”
Stringer is a proud graduate of Mississippi State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. He is recognized as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) by the International Security Consortium. He has also had the honor of serving as a member and Chairman of the Mississippi Bankers Association’s Information Security Officer Committee. As a participant in the Mississippi Artificial Intelligence Network (MAIN) program, Stringer is actively engaged in research and development of privately hosted Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems, investigating how to secure these technologies and enhance security, operational efficiency, and risk management in the financial sector.
A native of Taylorsville, MS, Stringer resides in Flowood, MS, with his wife of ten years, Lindsey Stringer, Esq., and their three wonderful children. The Stringers are active members of Flowood Baptist Church. Their passion for children and family led them to establish The Stringer Group, PLLC, which has provided adoption assistance and support to numerous families throughout the Southeast.
“Joining Planters Bank at this pivotal moment is truly exciting,” said Stringer. “I look forward to collaborating with our talented team to bolster the Bank’s security program, support operational growth, and continue serving the exceptional communities that Planters Bank is proud to call home.”
