Winner announced for Lights, Camera, Save! Contest

Planters Bank recently challenged students to submit entries for the American Bankers Association’s “Lights, Camera, Save! Contest”. The contest, organized by the American Bankers Association Foundation, is a national competition that encouraged teens to use video to communicate the value of saving money and inspire their peers to become lifelong savers.

Meredith Forman from Washington School in Greenville was selected as the first prize winner. She received a $500 check, and her winning video was entered into the national contest. Her winning entry can be viewed at https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CvpIZJZUAqU.

“Meredith’s thirty-second video did a great job of explaining budgeting!” stated Parker England, President of Planters Bank in Greenville. “Lights, Camera, Save! was an educational opportunity for students to show their creative talents while teaching the importance of saving. We are so proud to have Meredith as our winner, and we hope to see her video place in the national competition.”
