Leland, MS, March 1, 2020 –  Planters Bank is excited to announce Pratt Lucas has been hired as a Loan Representative at our Leland branch.

Lucas has been with Planters Bank since he joined the team as an intern in May of 2019. Since his internship concluded in August of 2019, Lucas has returned twice – once during the Christmas season in 2019, and again in April of 2020 during our first round of PPP loans. Because of his incredible work during that time, Planters Bank hired Lucas to the position of Loan Representative in May of 2020.

Lucas graduated from Washington School in 2016 and holds a B.B.A. from Mississippi State University. In his role prior to joining Planters Bank, he held the position of Research Assistant with the USDA from 2015-2018. Lucas is an active member of the Leland Rotary Club and is a member of Leland Presbyterian Church.

Robbie Howe, President of Planters Bank in Leland and Lucas’s supervisor, said “We are all immensely pleased to have Pratt join our team, and all of us at Planters Bank are ecstatic to have such a hard-working individual as a teammate and colleague at the Leland branch. He is sure to be a valued asset to the Planters Bank family.”
